MATH 4001/5001, Analysis II, Fall 2023

Course Contents:

Provides a rigorous treatment of infinite series, sequences of functions and multivariable analysis. Time permitting an introduction to Lebesgue integration and/or Fourier analysis will be given.

Lecture Hours and Venue:

MWF 9:05 am - 9:55 am, ECON2.

Office Hours:

Mon. 3:30 pm - 4:30 pm, Wed. 10:00 am - 11 am, and by appointment

Homework:

Homework assignments will be given on the course homepage on a bi-weekly basis. Homework is due at the beginning of each class on the second Friday following the assignment. It is the student's responsibility to get these assignments in the event of an absence from class. Homework will be graded. Late turn-ins will not be accepted. Show all your work.

Exams:

A take-home final exam will be distributed on Friday, December 14, 2023.

Course Grading:

Your grade will be determined from the graded homework (75%) and the final exam (25%).
