There are now several ways of formalizing the use of real infinitesimals in the study of calculus. These ways of adding in infinitesimals result in various extensions of the real numbers that can be interesting in their own right. In this talk, we will explore some of the fun properties of one such extension resulting from an enlargement of R and discuss how these properties allow us to gain insight into more than just calculus.
