Using the Hill-Hopkins-Ravenel norm, one can produce a G-equivariant analog N_{C_2}^{G} MU_R of the Real bordism spectrum for any group G containing a cyclic group of order two. In the case that G is a cyclic 2-group, the slice spectral sequence associated to N_{C_2}^{C_{2^k}} MU_R was a critical component in the resolution of the Kervaire-invariant one problem by Hill-Hopkins-Ravenel. We focus on the case that G is the quaternion group Q_8 and give an identification of the zero slice of N_{C_2}^{Q_8} MU_R, highlighting a computational technique for determining objects like this. Further, we give a computation of a portion of the RO(Q_8)-graded homotopy of this zero slice.
