Many natural minimal homeomorphisms occur on homogeneous spaces (e.g., the Cantor set, the circle, etc). Floyd gave the first example of a minimal dynamical system on a nonhomogeneous space. I will discuss this example and further examples, which build on work of Gjerde and Johansen. C*-algebraic application will also be discussed. This is joint work with Ian Putnam and Karen Strung.
