I will discuss main ideas of noncommutative topology and use the definition of the local-triviality dimension to illustrate how they work in practice. The local-triviality dimension was introduced in 2017 and it generalizes the concept of a locally trivial principal bundle, which is pivotal in algebraic topology, and fundamental in gauge field theories in physics.
