In recent years, there have been attempts to use Algebraic Geometry to model routing problems in space communications. In this talk, I’ll introduce sheaves on graphs, and demonstrate their ability to capture the local nature of routing problems. Time permitting, I’ll discuss some work from my NASA summer internship, and NASA’s plans for future research into the applicability of Algebraic Geometry to routing.
