The set of abelian varieties over a given field is naturally partitioned into isogeny classes. If the field is finite, then so is each isogeny class. I'll explain several different ways of thinking about the cardinality of such a class, including a new, explicit product formula recently (developed jointly with Ali Altug, Luis Garcia and Julia Gordon).
