For reasons that are not completely clear, the combinatorics of the action of the Coxeter group of type on the cosets of certain of its subgroups has applications to hypergeometric series. I will describe some of the combinatorial features that are most useful in applications. The aforementioned applications are collaborative work with M. Formichella, I. Mishev and E. Stade.
