Given a compact metric space and self-homeomorphism, one can construct the associated crossed product C*-algebra. There is a strong relationship between dynamical properties and C*-algebraic properties. For example, the system is minimal if and only if the crossed product algebra is simple. I will discuss minimal crossed products, their K-theory, K-homology, and Poincare duality. The talk will be an introduction aimed at graduate students.

We will continue our talk from last week starting with analytic moduli and discussing the moduli space of M-quasipolarized and M-polarized K3 surfaces. If time permits, we will discuss one-parameter degenerations. These talks follow Alexeev and Engel's "Compact moduli of K3 surfaces" paper in 2023.
