Sarah Salmon An introduction to groups you don't know you've met
X
Coxeter groups are defined by generators (all order two) and relations (called braids). In fact, some of your favorite groups are actually Coxeter groups. When we work with Coxeter groups, we get some nice tools like a well-defined length, root systems, a partial ordering, and more! In this talk, we'll go through some definitions, build geometric intuition, and (as always) draw some pictures!
