Residence Halls

Designed by famed architect Charles Klauder, CU-Boulder's campus has been called one of the most beautiful in the country by such notables as Thomas Gaines, author of The Campus as a Work of Art. Most of our residence halls offer wonderful examples of Italian Renaissance architecture; the only student housing in the nation constructed in this classic style. Despite their cohesive design, each of the 22 halls has its own look, feel, and personality.

CU-Boulder residence halls currently provide space for approximately 6,100 students or guests. All halls are coed. The gender layout is determined based on bathroom accommodations. In almost all cases, separate bathroom facilities are designated on each floor and/or wing for every 8 – 10 rooms. Residence Halls are non-smoking and are not air-conditioned. Parking on campus is limited; parking permits may be purchased at the Residence Hall front desk for the designated lot for that Hall.

The Premium room and board package includes linen, towels, pillow and pillowcase and a blanket. Housekeeping service is provided in individual guest rooms Monday through Friday. Rooms are furnished with extra long twin beds, a dresser, bookcase, desk and closet. Beds heights vary - standard, bunked or raised above the floor - and cannot be altered. Telephones are not provided in rooms and phone jacks are not active. A microfridge (microwave, refrigerator) is located in each sleeping room. Vegetarian options are available in the designated Dining Hall.

Children under six will not be charged room or board when sharing room and bed with parent(s). Children 6-12 years old will pay a child room and board package rate. Children 13 years old and older will be charged the full adult rate.
