MATH 2130 Summer 2019 Term A

Course description

The official title of this course is Linear Algebra for Non-Mathematics Majors. With a strong focus on matrix methods, the course examines basic properties of systems of linear equations, vector spaces, inner products, linear independence, dimension, linear transformations, determinants, eigenvalues, eigenvectors and diagonalization. The course is recommended for students who do not plan to major in Mathematics. Students who plan to major in mathematics are encouraged to take MATH 2135 instead. Prerequisites: MATH 2300 or APPM 1360.
