Attendance |
Classroom
attendance
is
strongly
encouraged. In addition to new material,
important course information will be given in class, which may include
quizzes, review sheets and practice exams. |
Missed exams and assignments | You
may miss an exam or assignment only in the case of
an emergency. I will require a note from a doctor
or your dean within a week of your return to class. In
that case, a make-up exam or extended deadline for the assignment will
be scheduled. |
Disability |
If
you qualify for accommodations because of a disability, please submit
to me a letter
from Disability Services within the first two weeks of class so
that your needs can be addressed. Disability Services determines
accommodations based on documented disabilities. Contact: 303-492-8671, Willard 322, and http://www.Colorado.EDU/disabilityservices |
Religious
observance |
If
you have a conflict with a scheduled exam, or assignment, because of a
religious observance, please submit to me a letter within the
first two weeks of class indicating this so that a make-up
exam, or extended deadline, can be arranged. See http://www.colorado.edu/policies/fac_relig.html for more information. A (relatively) comprehensive calendar of religious holidays is at http://www.interfaithcalendar.org/ |
Honor
code |
All
students are responsible for
knowing and adhering to the honor code. Violations will not be
tolerated. Other information on the Honor Code can be found at http://www.colorado.edu/policies/honor.html and at http://www.colorado.edu/academics/honorcode/ |
Statement on Discrimination and Harassment | The
University of Colorado at Boulder policy on Discrimination and
Harassment, the University of Colorado policy on Sexual Harassment and
the University of Colorado policy on Amorous Relationships apply to all
students, staff and faculty. Any student, staff or faculty member
who believes s/he has been the subject of discrimination or harassment
should contact the Office of Discrimination and Harassment (ODH) at
303-492-2127 or the Office of Judicial Affairs at 303-492-5550. Information about the ODH, the above referenced policies, and the campus resources available to assist individuals regarding discrimination or harassment can be obtained at http://www.colorado.edu/odh. |
