Some combinatorial properties of the Coxeter groups of type D

Abstract

For reasons that are not completely clear, the combinatorics of the action of the Coxeter group of type $D_6$ on the cosets of certain of its subgroups has applications to hypergeometric series. I will describe some of the combinatorial features that are most useful in applications. The aforementioned applications are collaborative work with M. Formichella, I. Mishev and E. Stade.
