About Me

I am a PhD candidate in the Mathematics Department at the University of Colorado, Boulder. My interests are in probability and statistics. I am passionate about interdisciplinary collaboration, and I am a leader in my community. As a professional, I will seek to apply my analytical knowledge to deliver business insights and solutions to complex problems.

I started out by studying mathematics and physics in parallel. I enjoyed how mathematics could answer deeper questions such as, "Why does it work this way?". But I still had many gaps in my exposure to various fields of mathematics. When I began my graduate studies, I had not been exposed to any probability or statistics.

I was fortunate to spend a summer research experience guided by Dr. O'Rourke - my first encounter with the basics in probability theory. I subsequently took classes to fill in more gaps, and my interest in mathematical statistics drew me to the research of my advisor, Dr. Kuznetsov. My continued desire to collaborate across disciplines lead to a project with theoretical computer science researcher Dr. Frongillo and my involvement with the Laboratory for Interdisciplinary Statistical Analysis.
