Air Travel | Please make your own arrangements for travel. Moscow is served by the Pullman/Moscow Regional Airport (PUW), which is located about 5 miles away from the University of Idaho. Best Western will provide shuttle service to PUW. The alternative is to use the Spokane International Airport (GEG). GEG is a 90 minute drive from the University of Idaho. The cheapest option is for you to form carpools and rent cars to drive. We will help in arranging carpools or shuttle service, so please let us know if you are flying into or out of Spokane airport and need help. You also have an option to use the Lewiston-Nez Perce County Airport (LWS) in Lewiston, Idaho, which is a 40 minute drive from the University of Idaho. There is no scheduled shuttle but arrangements for transport to Moscow can be made. |

About WAGS | The Western Algebraic Geometry Symposium traces back its origin to the Utah - UCLA Algebraic Geometry Seminar started in 1989 by H. Clemens, D. Gieseker, M. Green, J. Kollár, and R. Lazarsfeld. Later on, it became the Utah - UCLA - Chicago Algebraic Geometry Seminar. WAGS meets twice per year and congregates an international group of more than 70 mathematicians, from students to experts in the field of Algebraic Geometry. Long term planning for WAGS is currently done by Aaron Bertram (Utah), Renzo Cavalieri (Colorado State), Sebastian Casalaina-Martin (Colorado), Sándor Kovács (Washington), and Ravi Vakil (Stanford). |
