How many prime numbers are there really?
We will start with the question of how many primes there are, see that it was
answered a long time ago, and then see how far we can push this question and
with what accuracy we can answer it. We will discuss various unproven
conjectures and proven results, incorporating examples and seeing how data
can show (or hide!) patterns.
Highlights will include the Prime Number Theorem, Dirichlet’s Theorem for
Primes in Arithmetic Progression, as well as lesser known topics, like Skewes’
Number and Bunyakovsky’s Conjecture.

Math Quilting
Come learn about how mathematical quilting can help you gain a deeper
understanding of mathematical concepts through visual and tactile means.
In this interactive workshop, you’ll learn about a fun mathematical problem and
how its solution can be encoded into a quilt. You’ll also contribute to the
creation of a quilt that will be publicly displayed. No prior quilting experience
required!
