Graduate program information
Application information (international)
Thank you for your inquiry about our graduate program. Because of the different
standards among foreign universities and the fact that applying to an American university
is a costly and time-consuming task, we would like to inform you that the following
requirements must be met before you can be considered for our programs. If you can meet
these requirements, we will be happy to send you the appropriate application forms and
further information about our programs.
- Certification of first-class standing or the equivalent of at least a B average in all
examinations.
- Certification of adequate command of spoken and written English to insure that the
student can satisfactorily pursue his studies at an American university. A score of at
least 560 on the TOEFL examination will be required.
- Certification from a financial institution or sponsor that adequate funds are available
to meet all your expenses for the entire period of your residence at the University of
Colorado. Financial aid is not available to new foreign students, except under unusual
circumstances (fellowships, teaching and research assistantships).
- The equivalent of at least 35 hours of undergraduate mathematics courses at an American
University. Included in these courses should be at least one course in advanced calculus
and one in modern algebra.
If you can meet the above requirements, we will look forward to your request for
application forms.
Application forms may be obtained by sending e-mail to
berit.westby@colorado.edu
requesting the foreign student application forms and including an address where they
should be sent.
