Thank you for your interest in the graduate program in Mathematics at the University of
Colorado-Boulder.
We have a diversified graduate faculty with current areas of research interests in
algebra, classical analysis, differential equations, harmonic analysis, logic and
foundations, number theory, probability, and topology.
The Department has approximately 50 teaching assistant positions available. These TA
positions are normally given for the academic year. Support for the spring semester is
contingent on your completing at least 6 credits of graduate work and maintaining a 3.3
grade average in the fall semester. The stipend for the 2005-2006 year is $13,345,
and annual increases are expected. In addition to pay for teaching, the University will
grant you a tuition waiver. TA positions are awarded based on your previous academic
achievement, letters of recommendation, and GRE scores (which are required).
