MATH 2380
Mathematics for the Environment
An interdisciplinary course where analysis of real
phenomena such as acid rain, population growth, and
road-killed rabbits in Nevada leads to consideration
of various fundamental concepts in mathematics. One
third of the course consists of individual projects
chosen by students. Prereq., proficiency in high
school mathematics. Same as QRMS 2380. Approved for
arts and sciences core curriculum: quantitative
reasoning and mathematical skills.
